"FlowPoetry's verses find the right rhythm and pitch for every approach (and) he reads them with an ease that lets the music sing. … makes the relationship between words and music feel new again. Carves out a tribal, ambient, dreamy vibe.... " The Isthmus (Madison, WI)

"Courageous and organically fused…similar to that of Rage Against The Machine at times, honest and holds the mood of a Shaman performing cleansing rituals." Local Playlist (Milwaukee, WI)

"FlowPoetry is one of the most unique and riveting performers on the Midwestern musical and artistic landscape. On the cutting edge of the nationwide expansion of new forms of spoken word.... unique, theatrical and musical." DeKalb Chronicle (DeKalb, IL)

"...very chill yet gripping. On a mission to bridge the gap between poetry and music and does so.... ...some hip jive, Cat Daddy." Gapers Block Presents: Transmission (Chicago, IL)

"Leaving space for stories to unwind, but without forgetting the primal urge to move feet."

White Bush Unicorn
White Bush Unicorn
Once upon a time a couple of Unicorns worked at a fast food joint together. They were bonded by their silly-freakness and shared creative mysticism. Soon they moved to a neighborhood that had a surplus of silly little creative freaks, and started working in a dusty thrift store. It was there that they met other mystics, and everyone was happy and creative and aesthetically pleasing and the Lord rested.

.....

While the Lord naps, we're working on our debut full length album, "Some Pretty Songs Average" as we begin to morph into a fantastically glistening 5 piece live band. We're painting and drawing and mod podging and writing and dancing and making love and smiling a lot too, so keep an eye out! ♥ ♥ ♥
Bryan Drewyor
Bryan Drewyor
Bryan Drewyor takes in life, celebrates it, processes it, and tosses it back at us in one big, soul thumping, feet moving, mindful emotion. This predominantly self-taught performer grew up in the Midwest surrounded by a family full of musicians and artists. From childhood Bryan was heavily influenced by bluegrass, jazz, rock and folk; he inevitably connected with the piano at an early age and acoustic guitar, harmonica, accordion, and drums soon after. His vocals are full of soul and incredibly refined yet raw in dynamics and tone. He now incorporates many instruments to perform as a full one man band.

Bryan encompasses countless different styles into his song writing. His main focal point is on the energy and emotion of the words, and how they mingle with the melody that carries the song to a whole new intensity. With a mixture of folk, rock, soul, pop, ragtime, blues, and classical, this artist does not hesitate to explore the worlds that raised him. The lyrics that fill his songs with life, are deeply rooted in relationships, and experiences, that come from living, growing, and realizing life’s greater gifts. His profound spirituality and old soul can be heard in his performances and the light that shines is bright and bold. Bryan shares his understanding of the world, and leaves us with a message well played and received.
