Gods in the Chrysalis
Gods in the Chrysalis
Alissa met Aaron in 2012, one of the years they told us the world was going to end. The two have been inseparable ever since. After years of doing vocals in various metal/rock bands, Aaron had to pick the guitar back up the moment he heard Alissa sing. They knew it was time for the strength and range and vulnerability of their voices to be heard.
Acoustic and voice are the initial instruments at hand, but Gods In The Chrysalis will always be adding more layers and experimentation as the years progress.
We are all Gods In The Chrysalis. All have the same potential to do greatness and be greatness. The Gods are here, and the transformation has begun...

Bringing high energy to an otherwise lowly sound, Lazydeadpoet has brought the Delta Blues into the 21st century. Playing on a $5 Guitar purchased at a thrift store & a $50 drum-set found in some dusty basement, Lazydeadpoet stick to their mantra of KEEP IT SIMPLE!

A DIY talent, Thomas Skibsrud has honed his skills playing a gritty slide blues guitar style that can seldom be found on stage these days. Meeting up with drummer Eric Geane (also a self taught percussionist) in 2011 the two formed the group Lazydeadpoet & began writing original songs & playing around Madison & outlying areas.

Influenced by the sounds of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lightnin' Hopkins, The Black Keys & The White Stripes (just to name a few) Lazydeadpoet writes blue collar songs for blue collar people using old school blue collar blues licks & thunderous modern day drumming.
