Aktar Aktar is an all original rock band with a sound like a tightrope act of modern American/British rock swinging over a safety net of the classics.

Laura Tsaggaris (9) Acoustic Rock/Pop

Raised in the suburbia of Pittsburgh, PA, Laura's early life gave few indications of her eventual calling. If you looked closely, however-were a fly on the wall, perhaps-there were clues. The clandestine after‐school music video marathons. The solitary car rides spent harmonizing with Harriett Wheeler and Dave Gahan. The stolen moments with an acoustic guitar. For many who knew her, it came as a surprise when, while working at a Washington, D.C. law firm, Laura started her own record label, Overtime Records, and recorded her first album, Proof, in 2005. What happened next was no surprise for those who heard Proof. Galvanized by the local, national and international reaction to her debut, Laura quit her job, packed her bags and toured the country alone to promote the record and launch her career as a performer. After the cycle of touring ended in 2008, Laura began work on her second studio album, Keep Talking. From the cautionary "Warning Signs" to the life‐affirming "Get Yourself Right" to the hyper‐personal "Pilots", Keep Talking is a rare effort that rocks, soothes and inspired The Washington Post to write, "When a singer‐songwriter builds an array of songs, often arising from a solid pop foundation with a splash of blues, a touch of rock and a hint of soul, that affirms a genuine musical gift." Laura has several current arrangements, including solo acoustic, with cello or upright bass, and full band. She embarks on a solo acoustic U.S. tour in support of Keep Talking in September of 2010. Her set features songs to be included on the next studio album.
